Terms & Conditions

Bark & Bubble is committed to providing a calm, safe and positive grooming experience for every dog. To help appointments run smoothly and to ensure the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, please take a moment to read the terms and conditions below. These guidelines help us maintain a safe working environment, manage our schedule fairly, and deliver the best possible groom for your dog.

By booking an appointment with Bark & Bubble, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be cancelled with as much notice as possible. Customers must inform me if they need to cancel their appointment. Any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the appointment cost. This must be paid before any future appointments can be booked.

No‑Shows

Missed appointments with no notice will be charged at 100% of the appointment cost. No further appointments can be made until the balance is paid in full.

Late Arrival

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and the 100% of the appointment cost will still be payable.

Pricing

All grooming and styling prices are from prices. Final costs may vary depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, temperament, and the time required to complete a safe and thorough groom.

Payments

Payment is required immediately upon collection. Bank transfers and cash is accepted. If payment has not been made within 24 hours, a £10 admin fee will be added. No further appointments can be booked until the balance is paid in full.

Health, Injuries & Medical Conditions

You must inform Bark & Bubble of any injuries, medical conditions, recent changes in health, medications, or upcoming veterinary procedures that may affect your dog’s groom. This includes skin issues, limping, ear infections, allergies, or anything that could cause discomfort during handling.

For your dog’s safety, appointments cannot go ahead if they have any open wounds, stitches, untreated injuries, or conditions that make grooming unsafe. If this is discovered at the appointment, the session will be stopped and a fee may apply.

Toilet Breaks

Please ensure your dog has had a toilet break before arriving for their appointment. Dogs arriving without being toileted may need additional time, which may incur an extra charge.

Fleas

If fleas are found during the groom, a £15 fumigation fee will be added to cover the cost of treating the salon and preventing cross‑contamination.

Matting

Dogs with severe matting will be clipped short for their comfort and welfare. Bark & Bubble is not liable for any after‑effects of de‑matting or clipping, including redness, irritation, or sensitivity. De‑matting time and cost are unpredictable, and additional fees may apply. Whether a dog is considered matted is at the groomer’s discretion.

Grooming Style & Owner Expectations

All grooming is carried out based on your instructions, your dog’s coat condition, and what is achievable safely on the day. The final style is the groomer’s professional interpretation of what you have requested.

Bark & Bubble cannot be held responsible if the outcome differs from what you had pictured, especially where coat condition, matting, behaviour, or previous grooming history limit what is possible.

If you are unhappy with any aspect of the groom, we can discuss it together and note any adjustments for future appointments.

Behaviour & Safety

You must inform us if your dog has shown any signs of aggression or reactivity. If your dog becomes unsafe to groom, the session will be stopped, and 100% of the appointment cost will still be payable.

Respectful Conduct

Bark & Bubble is a safe and positive space. Rude, aggressive, or abusive behaviour, whether in person, by message, or online, will not be tolerated. This includes disrespectful language, intimidation, or negative public posts directed at the business or groomer. Any client who behaves in this way will be removed from the client list and no further appointments will be offered.

Collection

You will be notified approximately 20 minutes before your dog is ready. Dogs must be collected promptly. A late collection fee of £5 may apply if you arrive more than 10 minutes after the agreed time.
